Have you always wanted a shot at Le Mans, even at this relatively early stage in your career?
"I think Le Mans is on most drivers 'bucket list' but it all depends on getting the opportunity Fortunately for me Jota Sport chose me to be part of their squad for the 2015 event."
What do you know about the team and their pedigree?
"I hadn't heard much about them until they had won Le Mans last year
When did you get your first taste of the Jota Gibson LMP2 car?
"I had my first laps in the car at Aragon in Spain late February for a Dunlop tyre test. The car is really good to drive, a lot more nimble to what I was expecting it to be."
Do you see endurance racing as a big growth area in the sport and for young drivers?
"Absolutely. If you can make a good name for yourself, you can have a great career in Endurance racing."
You'll go Monaco-Le Mans in the space of a week. That's what drivers dreams are made of aren't they?
"I know! I feel very luck this year. That week is going to be surreal.
Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber and now you at Le Mans. A great time for Kiwi's in top-line racing?
"Yes definitely, it's always good to have Kiwi company out on track. It will be really cool to have all of us there on the track together."
What will be your aims and objectives going in to Spa and then also Le Mans?
"I would love to win Le Mans for Jota again. As we all know, Le Mans throws everything at you so I think to finish is a massive achievement in itself.
Do you see endurance racing as a big part of your future development as a driver?
"I think I will learn a lot over the two races. The events are completely different to what I am used to. Taking risks in different ways and thinking about the whole race differently. I really can't wait to get racing with Jota Sport."
