Lotus Praga LMP2 was back in action today at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The day started off with some rain and the 7,004 km long track was wet in the beginning of the first practice session in the morning. The rain stopped and the track dried up afterwards.
James Rossiter and Vitantonio Liuzzi qualified their Lotus Praga T128 LMP2 #31 in seventh position in LMP2 category. Thomas Holzer and Dominik Kraihamer in sister car #32 are in eight place in class. Lotus was able to do a lot of laps today and collect valuable data about the new car.
The weather is quite unpredictable in the Belgian Ardennes and it is going to be an exciting race. The 6 Hours of Spa will start tomorrow at 14:30 hours local time.
James Rossiter, Race Driver #31:
“I am pleased about today’s result. We worked a lot on the setup of the car and tried different settings during all sessions. There is still some work to do, but we are improving continuously. It is great to drive the new Lotus T128 here at Spa and I am looking forward to the race tomorrow.”
Thomas Holzer, Race Driver #32:
“It was a good day for us and we made another step forward. There is a lot of potential in the car and we are working hard to get the best out of it. It’s a six hours race tomorrow and anything can happen, especially here at Spa.”
