Swiss GP2 champ Leimer will likely join the team for the rest of the World Endurance Championship season.
Rebellion Racing has confirmed that GP2 champion Fabio Leimer will test with the team at The Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard next week, the official FIA-WEC website said on Sunday.
The Swiss driver will join Rebellion Nicolas Prost, Mathias Beche and Nick Heidfeld in the team's two Lola-Toyota B12/60 with hopes of getting a full-time ride for the rest of the 2014 season.
Following a successful 2013 GP2 outing, Leimer failed to secure a ride in Formula One and has now turned to endurance racing.
The LM P1 Privateer Championship-winning team will be testing with its 2013 Lolas and has not yet announced whether it will tackle the opening round of the FIA WEC at the 6 Hours of Silverstone in April with its two newly ORECA-built Rebellion Toyota R-One chassis.
