The #99 Vantage GTE of Bruno Senna (BR) and Fred Makowiecki (FR) started the race from the front of the grid following yesterday’s qualifying session and, at the halfway mark, the pair continues to lead the GTE field.

In the GTE Am class, the #95 is leading thanks to impressive laps from Nicki Thiim (DN) and Christoffer Nygaard (DN); team-mate Kristian Poulsen will drive in the second half of the race. Close behind in second place is the identical #96 Vantage GTE of Stuart Hall (GB) and Jamie Campbell-Walter (GB).

The #97 Vantage GTE of Darren Turner (GB), Stefan Mücke (DE) and Oliver Gavin (GB) is in fourth place following stints from each of the drivers. With Richie Stanaway (NZ) behind the wheel, the #98 recorded the fastest lap of the first half of the race before making its way back to the garage with a minor issue with the throttle pedal.

Team Principal John Gaw comments: “It’s great to be leading both the GTE races here in Austin. We’ve still got a long way to go though, so we need to remain focused.”
