The Six Hours of Bahrain is the eighth and final round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Action at the Circuit of the Americas begins with a test day on Thursday
The race ended in an Audi one, two, three and a Ferrari double in LM GTE as the Italian cars triumphed in both Pro and Am.
The surprise of the session was the No.12 Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota of Neel Jani, Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Prost which was 4th fastest, 1.029s behind the lead Audi but ahead of both works Toyotas.
Toyota’s position as world leader in hybrid vehicle technology was emphasized earlier this month when the company passed the 5 million mark for sales of hybrid road cars.
But both TS030 HYBRID cars lost positions to the two Audis mainly because track temperatures did not suit the chosen Michelin tyre compound.
Following three wins from six races in 2012, the team arrived in Britain with two 2012-specification TS030 HYBRID cars.
