British Formula 1™ driver Lewis Hamilton MBE was awarded the BRDC’s premier annual award, the BRDC Gold Star, for the fourth time.
The driver line-up for Le Mans will remain the same as at Spa except for Richie Stanaway who will be replaced in France by American Le Mans Series racer, Bill Auberlen, who celebrated victory at Long Beach last week.

In the manufacturer’s centenary year, and in front of its CEO Dr Ulrich Bez and hundreds of guests, friends and families, Aston Martin Racing today celebrated a dominant double victory in both the LMGTE categories at the 6 Hours of Silverstone.
The No.51 Ferrari 458 Italia of Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander dominated the race after the first 40 laps!
The German team takes the lead on the route to Le Mans, which began this weekend in front of 35,000 spectators in the Silverstone 6 Hours, the opening round of the WEC. The European Le Mans Series had a 3-hour race.
Paul Dalla Lana (CA) and Pedro Lamy (PT) will now join the team for the 2013 season.

The team will continue to run the five V8-powered Vantage GTEs that competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and at the last round of the championship, the Six Hours of Sao Paulo, three in the GTE Pro class and two in GTE Am.
