Watkins Glen NY (June 4, 2000) - A warm and sunny day closes this year's Watkins Glen Historic Races presented by Chemung Canal Trust Company. There were many exciting races that closed out the festivities.

In the feature race, the Ferrari's took control of the 3.377 mile road course in Watkins Glen, NY. Brian French in his Ferrari F-93A brought home a decisive win over Joe Hish in a Spice GTP/Ferrari and Benny Caiola in his Ferrari F-40.

Among the day's other races, the Enduro's proved to show strong competition as well. Chip Vance driving took the checkers in the 1 hour Rolex Vintage Enduro, Eric Bretzel won the 1-hour Rolex Classic GT Enduro over road racing legend Hurley Haywood and Craig Bennett won the 1-hour Classic Rolex Historic Enduro.

In addition, Brock Yates gave the command to start engines during his Grand Marshal duties for Sunday's activities.

In three weeks, June 23-25 The Glen opens it's gates for another exciting three-day race event with the Lysol 200 NASCAR Busch Series and the Bully Hill 150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series double-header weekend.
