Watkins Glen, NY (July 26, 2000) - As part of Bosch Summerfest 2000 at Watkins Glen International on August 25 - 27, Nik and the Nice Guys will take to the stage and the historic Milestones exhibit will be on hand for fans to look back at the history of sports car racing at the 2.45-mile road course.

The greatest party band out of the Northeast, Nik and the Nice Guys, is an eleven person cover band that has played at Super Bowls, the 1992 Summer Olympics and All-Star Events for the MLB, NHL, and the NBA. They have a unique mix of crowd participation and musical sound.

Located in the Pit Terrace Corral behind the pit terrace grandstands, Milestones, sponsored by Dodge, is an interactive display that will offer fans a taste of the past with various memorabilia and historic sports cars. Milestones will be open from Friday at 9:00 a.m until close on Sunday of the Summerfest weekend.

Milestones will also feature 24 original paintings done by renowned artist Michael Turner. These paintings, presented by Larry Kessler, were the featured covers of the Formula One and the Six Hours of The Glen souvenir programs during the 1960's and 70's.

In addition, on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. the stars of the Grand American Road Racing Series will be on hand to sign autographs. Butch Leitzinger, James Weaver, John-Paul Jr., and Jack Baldwin will break from busy schedule to see the fans.
