Classic cars on tap at Infineon Raceway this weekend.
SONOMA, Calif. -- Infineon Raceway will host a full weekend of racing this weekend (March 29-30) on the 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course.
Vintage racing will take over the facility with the Classic Sports Racing Group's (CSRG) 36th Season Premiere Weekend. This will mark the first of a five-race series for 2003 that will take CSRG to both Infineon Raceway and Thunderhill Park in Willows.
This weekend will feature more than 180 classic cars, highlighted by a pre-war race group (1914-1939), which will include a 1914 Model T. There will also be a pre-war exhibition group, as well.
Fans will also see vintage car racing in several other groups, featuring Mustang, Corvette, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Bugatti, among others.
Gates open each day at 8 a.m. and admission is $10. Practice begins at 8:30 a.m. both days, and feature races will begin at 1:30 p.m. both days. For more information, please visit www.csrgracing.org.
