VETERAN RACER HOBBS TO BE HONORED

When the 14th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance rolls around March 13-15, 2009, veteran racer David Hobbs will be our honoree, and we are looking forward to a very entertaining weekend with one of racing's greatest ambassadors. As one of SPEED Channel's most animated and popular commentators, Hobbs will be taking a little time off from his duties on the popular racing channel where he can be seen each weekend providing expert analysis - laced with humorous anecdotes - on a variety of series, including Formula One, sports car, and endurance racing.

SEMINARS RECOUNT TWO ANNIVERSARIES, CUSTOMIZING KINGS

A pair of significant 50th anniversaries along with some of the top customizers past and present will be celebrated at the 14th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. On Friday of Concours week, join Chip Foose, George Barris, Darryl Starbird, Dean Jeffries, and others for The Great Customizers seminar; then on Saturday be with us when we celebrate The Great Roadster Drivers by recounting two very special anniversaries from the year 1959: the first United States Grand Prix Formula One race, which was held at Sebring International Raceway, and the only Indy car race ever held at the then-new Daytona International Speedway. Tickets for The Great Customizers are $20; $25 for The Great Roadster Drivers. Don't miss either one.

CASE RETURNS TO CONCOURS

The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Foundation is proud to announce that Ms. Mollie Case will be reutrning to us as Director of Sponsorship & Media Relations, a postion she held here for the 2005 and 2006 shows. Case comes to us after serving in a similar capacity for the Office Depot-sponsored team of NASCAR star Carl Edwards. She has worked with the vast majority of our current sponsors and we expect her to "hit the ground running."

Advance tickets are $45 for adults, $50 day of the show; $20 for students ages 12-18; and children under 12 are admitted at no charge when accompanied by a paying adult.
