AMERICAN AUTO RACING WRITERS AND BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION TO HONOR MONTEREY HISTORIC AUTOMOBILE RACES FOUNDER

Burbank, California. The American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association (AARWBA) will honor Steve Earle founding father of the Monterey Historic Automobile Races for Thirty-Five years of America's premier historic automobile racing event. Mr. Earle will be presented a certificate of appreciation on Saturday 16 August following the Toyota Race of Legends event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Every August, the hills around Monterey echo with the sounds of some of the greatest vintage and old time racing cars of the world. Racing cars from Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Ford and Ferrari can be seen prowling the twists and turns of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The cars are driven by international racing heroes of the past, the near past and just plain auto racing enthusiasts!

It is through Steve Earle's vision and perseverance that the Monterey Historic Automobile Races has become a truly international event honoring the history of these great machines and our love affair with the automobile.

About the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association (AARWBA).
