V8 testing continues at Queensland Raceway

V8 Supercars testing continues at Queensland Raceway today, with Triple Eight and Tekno taking part in a pre-Sandown 500 hit-out.

It’s the second day of running in a row for Triple Eight Race Engineering, with Jamie Whincup having been in action yesterday testing Dunlop’s brand new super soft tyre compound.

Today, the focus switches to pre-enduro testing, with Paul Dumbrell joining Whincup in the #1 car, and Steven Richards and Craig Lowndes sharing the #888.

Shane van Gisbergen and Jono Webb are also in action at Queensland Raceway for Tekno Autosports.

DJR Team Penske is not running today, having used it’s one and only test day earlier in the season.

Erebus, meanwhile, does still have a test day up its sleeve, but has elected not to run at Queensland Raceway today. That means no more miles ahead of the Sandown 500 for brothers Will and Alex Davison, or Ash Walsh and Jack Le Brocq.
