MCNALLY SPLASHES TO TOP TEN IN V8 UTES AT BATHURST

Glenn McNally slipped his way to 7th place in the final V8 Utes race at Mount Panorama Bathurst today in what was an exceptional performance in wet conditions.

McNally started 10th today after finishing 11th in race 1 and 7th in race 2 yesterday.

"I got a fantastic start and gained a couple of places into the first turn and up Mountain Straight," Glenn said.

"This place is unbelievable in the wet, my respect for the circuit has lifted to a new level after today."

Glenn had a great battle with Gary Baxter and Jack Elsegood throughout the race and was able to overcome the pressure to finish ahead of them both.

"The pressure was on and I was able to keep my cool and get a good result.

"It was really a matter of survival of the fittest out there today."

Glenn was please to have a solid meeting and gain valuable Series points, and put the previous round behind him.

"It was a great step forward today, the guys did a great job preparing the car and it didn't miss a beat all weekend."

Glenn's next meeting is the Sydney 400 at Homebush in December.
