MCNALLY ON THE IMPROVE IN V8 UTES AT BATHURST

Glenn McNally finished 7th in the second V8 Utes race today on a slippery rain effected circuit at Mt Panorama Bathurst.

Race 1, this morning, was interrupted by a safety car for much of the race leaving just a one lap sprint to the finish line.

"It was just a matter of making the most of the few racing laps I got and I ended up finishing in the same place as I started - 11th."

Race 2 saw McNally start from 6th place in the reverse-top-16 race.

The conditions were difficult but Glenn drove beyond his experience to tame the mountain and bring the car home in a race that cost many drivers.

"It is really tricky over the top in the wet," Glenn said.

"The old hands seemed to be able to push a bit harder on the most difficult parts of the circuit.

"But I am happy with the result considering the trying conditions."

Glenn is continually learning with every outing and he is poised for a top ten starting position in tomorrow's final race.

"It would be great to get a top ten finish at Bathurst tomorrow and I am going to do my best to keep moving forward."

Race 3 will be shown live tomorrow morning.
