SAME, SAME, BUT FASTER FOR MCNALLY IN V8 UTES AT BATHURST

Glenn McNally posted his fastest ever time at Mt Panorama Bathurst today in what was a fierce qualifying session that saw the West Australian finish in 11th place.

With every lap of the daunting circuit producing more speed for McNally he is confident that he can push well into the top ten over the weekend.

"I just get faster the further I go," Glenn said.

"Once again I didn't really make the most of new tyres but I will not let that worry me for the rest of the weekend."

Even going 2 seconds faster than ever before, Glenn knows where he needs to improve to go faster again.

"I need to push a little deeper into the Chase than what I have been,"

"I wasted a good lap today when I pushed too hard on the last corner and had a little moment."

Glenn is up against some extremely experienced drivers who have raced Utes, V8's and many other categories for years at this tricky circuit.

"I am just going to keep pushing, keep improving, and take the opportunities that I get and see where we end up."

Glenn has two races tomorrow, the second being a reverse-top-16, and the final race on Sunday.

Race 2 and 3 are set to be televised live.
