Australia's leading Ford V8 Supercar team Stone Brothers Racing will host hundreds of racing fans during a team 'Fan Day' at its Yatala base in Queensland this Saturday.
Fans will have the chance to meet with Pirtek Racing's Marcos Ambrose and Caltex Havoline Ford driver Russell Ingall.
The team's show car will be on display for photographs and there will be massive 'at cost' discounts on the team's 2002 merchandise.
There will also be a host of racing memorabilia up for grabs including team shirts and merchandise from previous seasons and bits and pieces from the SBR cars.
"I think this is a great concept and will give us a chance to spend sometime with the SBR fans and answer all of their questions before the start of the season the following week," said Ambrose, who finished third in last year's V8 Supercar Championship Series.
Ingall, the team's newcomer, will have plenty of smiles for the fans this weekend after his fantastic debut in the support races at the Foster's Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne at the weekend.
"Everything was very positive at Albert Park and hopefully we can continue the momentum at the first round in Adelaide next week," said Ingall.
"I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of SBR fans at the Fan Day this weekend. This is a great idea and a great way to kick off the year."
Team owner Ross Stone says the Fan Day is the next step in SBR's plan to get closer to its fans.
"This will give the fans a chance to come and have a chat with our drivers and also get the chance to grab a bargain. There will be plenty of items which will be serious collector pieces in the next year or two," said Stone.
The Fan Day will have a family feel with a jumping castle, show bags, balloons and sausage sizzle for SBR's younger fans.
