SATURDAY 3 JULY

An inquiry commenced into an alleged breach of the Rules in that car #3, Jason Richards, was removed from pit lane prior to being given permission to do so by officials. A penalty of a reprimand was imposed.

SUNDAY 4 JULY

Car #48, Mark Noske, received a drive through penalty during the Race for overtaking prior to the restart after a safety car period.

Car #021, Craig Baird, received a drive through penalty during the Race for a driving infringement.

During the Race, car #2, Mark Skaife, car #3, Jason Richards, and car #51, Greg Murphy, each had one lap deducted from their total number of laps completed for short-cutting the circuit.

An inquiry commenced into an incident between car #18, Warren Luff, and car #15, Rick Kelly, in which contact was made between the two vehicles during the Race. The Stewards found that car #18 had breached the Code of Driving Conduct and a penalty was applied to reverse the finishing order so that car #15 now finished ahead of car #18.

An inquiry was conducted into a report following post race scrutiny that car #1, Marcos Ambrose (Stone Brothers Racing), was found to be in breach of Rule C8.11.8 and C8.11.9 (AVESCO Operations Manual) in that the ECU wiring loom was found to include additional wires and a connector which were not permitted. After admitting an unintentional breach of the Rules, a penalty of a deduction of 192 Championship points and a fine of $10,000 was imposed. A notice of intention to appeal against the decision was subsequently lodged by Stone Brothers Racing Pty Ltd.
