Stone Brothers Racing and Technical Manager Campbell Little have ended a nine year relationship.
Little, who has been with SBR since its inception, will end his association immediately and will take up a new role with another V8 Supercar team in the New Year.
SBR owners Ross and Jimmy Stone said they were disappointed with Little's decision, but respected his desire to move on.
"Campbell has been a valuable member of this team for several years and has made a solid contribution to our success," said Ross Stone.
"It will be unusual to turn up to a race track and see him dressed in another team's gear.
"Nothing stays the same forever and we wish Campbell all the best in the future."
Ross Stone says the split is a very amicable one and that a new team structure will be developed for 2004.
"We have a test planned for Monday week and then the final round of the championship," said Stone.
"It would not be appropriate for Campbell to be a part of those activities now, but we look forward to him being our guest at the track on the Sunday at Eastern Creek and joining SBR at the gala dinner in Sydney the following night, win, loose or draw."
Little says that the decision to leave was a tough one.
"I have enjoyed being a part of SBR for so long, but there comes a time to move on," said Little.
"I have been proud with what we have been able to achieve, especially in recent years.
"I thank Ross and Jimmy for the opportunity and look forward to seeing the team complete this year's goal of winning the championship at Eastern Creek in a couple of weeks time."
Little will be a guest of the team at Eastern Creek and will join the team at the V8 Supercar gala dinner in Sydney on Monday, December 1.
