ROLLINSON BACK IN THE HOTSEAT THIS WEEKEND

Kiwi racing driver Gene Rollinson is back in the hotseat this weekend, competing in the 5th round of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Development Series at Queensland Raceway in Australia.

After recently winning the 2008/2009 New Zealand Production Championship driving for Mazda NZ, Rollinson again teams up with Race Image Motorsport, getting behind the wheel of the #60 Falcon he last campaigned at Oran Park in December last year.

"Im stoked I won't be watching all the racing on TV this weekend, "said Rollinson today. "It's great to be back competing again, although I'm under no illusion as to how tough it will be. I haven't sat in the seat for eight months, whereas the rest of the guys have four rounds under their belts already. And with Queensland used recently as a test track for some, I'll be a bit behind the eight-ball, but hopefully I can adapt quickly."

With ESET Antivirus Australia coming on board as a major sponsor of the Race Image Motorsport machine only in the past couple of weeks, Rollinson has had to work hard to finalise this opportunity which only came together in the last few days.

"I'm getting pretty good at these last-minute deals!" he commented. "It's fantastic to have Australia's top choice in antivirus software, ESET, on board with the team, as well as my New Zealand sponsors Global Security, Fairview Windows and Doors, and Ace Aluminium".

The weekend at Queensland Raceway begins with 2 x 40-minute practice sessions on Friday, Qualifying and 1 x 15-lap race on Saturday, and 2 x 15-lap races on Sunday.
