'PERFECT TIME TO CHANGE' SAYS RICHO

Racing colours are important to any self-respecting driver so FPR kept Mark Winterbottom and Steve Richards in the loop during the design stages of its latest look.

The new livery, showcasing both Castrol and Orrcon Steel, met with unmitigated approval from both drivers who will debut the design at the L&H 500 this weekend.

Decals were only completed this afternoon and the car was wheeled out in front of FPV enthusiasts at the motor company's unveiling of the new GS and F6E models.

Fans will be able to see the Castrol Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon at Phillip Island this weekend, when it takes to the track on Friday afternoon.

Mark Roworth Director of Business Operations "It took us a long time to get something that was different enough and yet something that flowed and provided a frame for the branding. I think this new livery does that.

"It's a taste of what we're going to do for next year. Next year's livery is really quite different but has a similar theme; it's all about flow and the blending of colour."

"Before the launch I was outside polishing it; I like it that much!

"It's great to be able to race with the Orrcon Steel colours. They've supported me for a long time but the last few years I've paired up with Richo in the Castrol car for the enduros. This new livery is a really good solution and hopefully it will bring me a bit of luck."

"I think this is the perfect time to introduce a change to how we look because the team is pretty confident we made a breakthrough at Queensland.

"They say a change is as good as a break so hopefully you'll see a relaxed and confident FPR on track this weekend."
