Percat’s positive opening day in the West

Percat and his crew spent the three twenty minute practice sessions.

Coates Hire Racing's Nick Percat completed a positive opening day of practice for the Perth round of the 2014 V8 Supercars Championship, at Barbagallo Raceway.

Percat and his crew spent the three twenty minute practice sessions fine tuning the HHA Racing V8 Supercar and established a competitive set up, for tomorrow's qualifying and two 100km races.

In the three sessions Percat finished the opening encounter seventh quickest and repeated that performance in session two, before rounding the day out with the 17th best time in the third session.

At the end of the final session Percat commented: "I am pretty pleased with how today went. We worked through a number of scenarios to arrive at what we believe will be a good set up for tomorrow's qualifying and twin races".
