Chaz Mostert put Prodive Racing Australia on top in the second V8 Supercars practice session of the weekend with a late charge at Winton.
Mostert, who was recently re-signed for two more years by the squad, jumped to the top of the times 90 seconds before the end of the session with a 1m23.191s, before improving on a second green tyre lap to improve to 1m23.015s.
That relegated Nissan’s James Moffat to second, the 2013 Winton race winner leading the charge for the Kelly Racing-run squad with a 1m23.2673s lap.
In a session where there were four different makes in the top four spots, James Courtney was third fastest for the Holden Racing Team, while Scott McLaughlin showed some form for Volvo to lock down fourth.
David Reynolds capped off Prodrive’s decent afternoon with the fifth fastest time, ahead of Holden pair Fabian Coulthard and Shane van Gisbergen.
Triple Eight failed to fire in the one-hour session, Craig Lowndes managing just 10th, while Jamie Whincup was down in 20th.
