Where James Moffat will drive next year remains undecided, as the out-of-contract V8 Supercars driver waits patiently for the driver and sponsor market to begin moving again.
While the likely option is that Moffat will stay with Nissan Motorsport, the Queensland Raceway paddock chatter continued to place him in the frame for the Tekno Autosports seat that will be vacated by Shane van Gisbergen at the end of the season.
However, Moffat is currently in a holding pattern as teams race to lock down sponsorship for the new season before committing to drivers.
“There’s really not much to report at the moment,” Moffat told Motorsport.com.
“Nissan is a good place to be, but of course we’re looking at all of our options.”
Nissan Motorsport has made its position on the matter known, stating that it would love to retain Moffat for 2016 and beyond, but that it is waiting to lock down the commercial future of the #99 Altima before making a solid commitment.
