Exciting young V8 Supercar mavericks, Ryan McLeod and Wayne Wakefield, are about to rekindle an Australian icon the famous, homegrown CHIKO Roll!
And, at what better place than that uniquely Australian motorsport arena and home of the CHIKO Roll Bathurst!
This happy convergence of Aussie tradition is capped off with the boys choosing a Holden in which to mount their 1000 kilometre endurance challenge.
"It all came together very nicely," remarked McLeod, "CHIKO Roll, Bathurst and Holden what could be more Australian?"
CHIKO found the prospect of revitalising the stalwart CHIKO Roll in its hometown, and at one of the world's greatest motor races, irresistible.
"Australians love motor racing, Holdens, Bathurst and CHIKO Rolls," said Rachael Davis, Senior Brand Manager for CHIKO," and when the opportunity arose to communicate with hundreds of thousands of Australians in such a very comfortable environment, we jumped at it."
Although the friendly local tuck shop is under pressure from the enormous multinational fast food chains, Australians still buy nearly sixteen million CHIKO Rolls each year. CHIKO will use this avenue as a means to support these important customers and remind Australians that the CHIKO Roll is alive and well.
Sarah Jane, the head-turning CHIKO Roll girl, and her "Chikettes" will also be part of the Bathurst campaign, so race fans will get some very personal exposure to the CHIKO brand. Watch out for Sarah Jane and her trademark Harley Davidson at Mount Panorama on race weekend.
Ryan and Wayne will use the JFR-prepared, Level 1-standard Commodore VS campaigned by McLeod during the Konica Lites Series.
