Mallala Motorsport Park "Go west, young men" is the message as the 1998 Shell V8 Supercar series heads for back-to-back rounds in South Australia and West Australia, with Mallala, the former airstrip north of Adelaide, playing host to round six on May 22-23-24. One of the youngest of those young men is long-time Championship leader Craig Lowndes of the Mobil Holden Racing Team, who was overtaken at Winton in round five by Adelaide-born Russell Ingall in his Castrol Perkins Commodore. Ingall now carries a four-point lead back to his home ground: "It would be really terrific to win at Mallala," he stresses, "especially as it would make up for last year.
