Lee Holdsworth drove the entire session in the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 from Erebus Motorsport, working on improving a race set-up for tomorrow's 1000km classic.

Holdsworth set his best time on full tanks, giving an indication of the solid car balance in the IRWIN E63.

With a number of teams running in shootout specification, including fresh tyres, Holdsworth kept new rubber in the garage and still sat comfortably inside the top-10.

The session went without a hitch and it was a relaxed IRWIN crew throughout the practice period.

Holdsworth and co-driver Craig Baird will have a final 20-minute warm-up session on Sunday morning before the 161-lap race at 10.30am local time.
