IRWIN Racing's Lee Holdsworth has completed the Chill Perth 360 with a solid 14th place finish in the final race of three over the course of the weekend.
The improved engine package in the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 V8 Supercar from Erebus Motorsport paid dividends in qualifying with 15th and 13th respectively for the Sunday races.
After finishing the opening split 60/60km race in 18th position, Holdsworth was bundled off the track on the opening lap of the first of the Sunday races after contact with David Wall.Even though he was keen to bring the car back to the pits, officials would not allow it after one of the tyres had been knocked off the rim. It was Holdsworth's first non-finish in the 12 races contested in the 2013 season.
Keen to finish the weekend on a high, Holdsworth started 13th in the final 100km race. Through a clever pit strategy he climbed to 11th before coming under attack over the second half of the race.
A determined drive from the IRWIN pilot saw him battle off a number of cars to bring the E63 home inside the top half of the field.
