McLean chases more grip gor Darwin race.

BRISBANE team Paragon Motorsport is planning suspension changes overnight to its Ford Falcon XR8 after finishing 29th today in the first official practice session for round four of the V8 Supercar Championship Series in Darwin.

Driver Cameron McLean said the team needed to improve the cornering grip of the V.I.P. Pet Foods Falcon before tomorrow's busy program of practice and qualifying, followed by a late afternoon sprint race.

"The timesheet was very tight today - really there's only tenths of a second in it, but we need to find those tenths to move up the order for the first race," McLean said.

"I'm happy with the way the car is braking and putting down its power out of the corners, but there are a couple of changes of direction on the back of the circuit where its behavior can be improved with some suspension adjustments.

"Everyone will be trying to improve overnight - we'll just to have improve a bit more."
