FERRARIS dominated the first official practice session for the Grand Touring Challenge on the Adelaide grand prix street circuit today.
Driving a Prancing Horse team Ferrari F360 Modena Challenge, Nations Cup star Mark Noske topped the session with a time of 1 minute 43.84 seconds around the 3.9 km track in fine, hot conditions.
Teammate Rod Wilson was second fastest in his first drive in another of the $350,000 coupes, followed by veteran Bryan Thomson in a Toyota Supra RZ.
Recently-crowned Australian GT Production Car Champion Mark King, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer RS Evo V, was fastest in the High Performance class, while Peter McKay topped the Sport Touring class in a Honda Integra Type R.
A total of 26 cars took part in practice. A night qualifying session at 7 pm will determine starting order for the first of two Grand Touring Challenge races, a 40 minute event tomorrow.
