TEN-time Bathurst winner Peter Brock will be among four successful motorsport and business identities appointed to the board of directors of motor racing events company PROCAR Australia.

PROCAR Chairman and founder Ross Palmer said today the new directors -- Brock, Peter Boylan, Roy Leaver and Ian Palmer-- would be officially elected at a board meeting in Brisbane on 5 February.

Mr Palmer said the directors would bring invaluable experience and expertise to PROCAR at a time of significant growth.

"Over the coming season, PROCAR is aiming to develop new international events, progress our ground-breaking Formula Green environmental concept, boost our output of television programming and build on the successes of the Bathurst 24-Hour, PROCAR Champ Series and our four racing categories," Mr Palmer said.

In tackling these projects the PROCAR board will be enhanced with directors of the highest calibre, who will contribute business acumen, added credibility and grass-roots perspectives as competitors."

PETER BOYLAN -- Managing Director of Sydney-based Quirk's Refrigeration, Australia's biggest privately-owned refrigeration company. Driver of a BMW M3 in the Australian GT Performance Championship.
