Team Betta Electrical V8's qualify in the top ten.
The stage is set for Round Eleven in the V* Supercar Series being conducted at Pukekohe Park Raceway in New Zealand.
Practice 1 & 2 today saw both Team Betta Electrical cars post credible times with drivers Tony Longhurst and Max Wilson very pleased with their car's preparation and the improvements to the circuit.
The team made any minor set up changes to the cars after the two practice sessions today. Longhurst commented, I have a good feeling about the team's performance this weekend. Everything is coming together with team members very focussed in providing the best possible support for each of the two cars.
Today's qualifying session was conducted on a dry circuit with patches of sunshine peeping through.
Car 66 with Tony Longhurst at the wheel was placed sixth fastest in qualifying with a time of 0:57.6650 just .52 of a second behind the fastest qualifier, Mark Skaife.
Car 65 of Max Wilson was next in seventh position with his time of 0:57.714.
The cars are performing extremely well said Wilson and we are very much on track for a podium finish in tomorrow's race. I like the circuit he said. The car is handling at its best and it has been a pleasure to push the team spirit to new heights.
I know everyone connected with the team will be very vocal in supporting both Tony and myself over the weekend's three-race event.
We hope the weather remains fine for the many thousands of supporters who will be attending.
