Once again the V8 Supercars Australia put on quite the show and today was no different when Will Davison put the moves on Garth Tander to take the lead on lap 2 at Homebush.
Jamie Whincup clinches 5th title finishing third, while Shane Van Gisbergen rules the final race.
The streets of Surfers Paradise was filled with action and crashes. The survivors were Craig Lowndes and co-driver Warren Luff.

Fabian Coulthard earns his first V8 Supercars championship winning points on the Symmons Plains circuit. The New Zealander did score wins at Albert Park but it was a non-points event on the F1 weekend in Austraia.
Whincup leads on 1847 points from Craig Lowndes (1800) and Will Davison (1792).

Practice day for the Australia V8 Supercars was extremely hot; especially for the drivers on and off the track Homebush circuit.
The MSS Security Challenge non-points third race on the Albert Park Circuit kept the stewards of the event busy with drivers being excluded. The adjustments of Race 3 outcome shows Coulthard as the winner followed by Reynolds and Bright.
Rain played a factor in the first qualifying for the Sydney 500.The track dried at the end but several top drivers will not have a shot at the pole; including Whincup!
