Fabian Coulthard earns his first V8 Supercars championship winning points on the Symmons Plains circuit. The New Zealander did score wins at Albert Park but it was a non-points event on the F1 weekend in Austraia.
The MSS Security Challenge non-points third race on the Albert Park Circuit kept the stewards of the event busy with drivers being excluded. The adjustments of Race 3 outcome shows Coulthard as the winner followed by Reynolds and Bright.
The rain in Melbourne played a bit of havoc with the third race for the V8 Supercars at the Albert Park Circuit. While it was a non-points event, the drivers were pushing for the victory. Race 4 is scheduled for Sunday.
Prior to the non-points weekend art the Albert Park circuit, Fabian Coulthard had never claimed a pole position, let alone a V8 Supercars victory.

Whincup set a lap time of 1m 56.6623 seconds with Ford Performance Racing's Mark Winterbottom responding with a 1m 56.8156 on the Albert Park Circuit.
