Team IntaRacing qualify in the top 15 for Sprint Gas V8 Supercar Manufacturers Challenge
Team IntaRacing has recorded their best qualifying result in the team's short history with Marcus Marshall finishing 15th in qualifying for the Sprint Gas V8 Supercar Manufacturers Challenge at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.
After claiming 14th in the second leg of the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, Marshall has once again shown the potential of the newly established team with the Access Cash sponsored Falcon finishing 16th in practice prior to going one better in qualifying later in the day.
"The car was really, really good in practice and qualifying today. I am starting to get my head around this car and we have had major improvements from both myself as the driver and also from the team," said Marshall.
"We've had a really strong run without any major problems today. I hope we can continue this form through to tomorrow's race and gain more valuable track time as the team continues to grow."
Team IntaRacing Manager, Keith Evers said that while the event was not considered a round of the 2009 V8 Supercar Championship it was still beneficial for the crew who continue to gel as a team.
"The car was running a cracker in practice and qualifying today. Marcus [Marshall] is becoming more confident each time he gets behind the wheel of the car and it is really starting to show with his lap times," Evers said.
"We made an improvement to the rear brakes today and after coming to grips with it the car was running a lot better. Overall, we are very happy with how today's practice and qualifying session worked out."
Team IntaRacing is one of the newest competitors to enter V8 Supercar Racing with the team established in early 2009.
