Triple Eight thank Autodesk for successful six year partnership

Triple Eight Race Engineering and Autodesk Australia today announced they will be going in separate directions after a partnership of over six years during which time the Team has won three Bathurst titles and two Driver Championships. Triple Eight Race Engineering's Technical Director, Ludo Lacroix said a change of emphasis within the company's drawing office had prompted the need to explore new possibilities. "We have been very happy with Autodesk Inventor and our other Autodesk software installations," Lacroix explained. Autodesk Inventor has been the key design software platform that has allowed us not only to win many races but also make the transition from Ford to Holden. "However, with a change in personnel and future design direction, we believe it is time to review our software needs and look into other possibilities. "Autodesk has been fantastic since our inception in Australia, providing software support, training and regular program updates, which has directly reflected in our cars' speed and technical advancement. "It has been a difficult decision, particularly given the level of professionalism shown by the Autodesk team," Lacroix said. Reflecting on the extended relationship, Paul Arthur, Sales Director of Autodesk Australia said the two companies had enjoyed a successful partnership.

"Our tenure with Triple Eight has been quite exciting as we have watched them grow from a team with a clear mandate of chasing success, to then see them blossom into the technical powerhouse that they now are," Arthur said. "We are very proud of the how Autodesk Inventor has played its part in the team's advancement and on-track performance and we wish them success in their future directions."Ends.For further information, or to request images or interviews, please contact:Martine Cousins, TeamVodafone Communications Manager.Phone: (07) 5535 0900Fax: (07) 5535 0911Mobile: 0411 289 630Email: martine@fluidpr.com.au
