The Townsville round of the Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series-Protected by Armor All may have been Paul "Dusty" Williams last, as the 2009 Rookie of the Year is lacking funds to complete the season.

Williams has raced with Brock Race Engineering since joining the Series in 2009 and has formed a great friendship with owner James Brock.

"It's been an amazing experience racing under Brock Race Engineering and we hope that we can continue to," said Williams.

"Paul Williams Racing feels that it's only fair Brock Race Engineering (BRE) be given time to find a replacement and therefore we have a deadline of the 16th August to find the required funds."

Brock has enjoyed having Williams in his car and thinks it will be disappointing to lose the West Aussie.

"Paul has shown a lot of potential since stepping into the Utes," said Brock

"Taking out the Rookie of the Year last year was no small feat and he continues to improve and it would be really unfortunate if Paul is unable to continue for the year."

"We wish him the best in trying to seek sponsorship within the given time-frame."

After 20 years of Go Karting and 2 years of Saloon Car Racing Williams stepped into a V8 Ute in 2008 at Hidden Valley and decided to join the Series in 2009.

With the next round of the Series less than 1 month away (10 -- 12 September at Philip Island), Williams will have to work fast to secure his place on the Grid!
