Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing Ready to Take On Road America with Three Car Assault

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (August 19, 2010) -- Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing and its three drivers are ready to take on the challenges of Road America for Rounds 9 and 10 of Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, August 20-22.

Patrick McKenna, of Ireland, will pilot the No. 2 machine, while Javier Barrales and Martin Scuncio, both from Chile, will drive the No. 18 and No. 99 cars respectively.

McKenna is currently second in the point standings after finishing on the podium in both races at Autobhan Country Club earlier this month. He trails Sage Karam by only 22 points, and with four races left, he is looking for strong finishes in both races this weekend to close the gap and make a run for the championship.

Scuncio is fifth in the point standings, while Barrales is seventh. Though new to the Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing team, both showed that they are strong competitors at Autobahn Country Club. Scuncio earned the $200 Tilton Hard Charger award in Race 2, and Barrales had two top-8 finishes.

While team owners Dominic and Nicholas Cape will be in Sonoma, California for the Firestone Indy Lights race, veteran motorsports engineer, team manager and driver Rossella Manfrinato will serve as one of the engineers for the three-car effort this weekend at Road America.
