Corr, Empire Racing, and Motorsports Industry Help Make Local Fundraiser a Success
(GOSHEN,NY) September 19, 2012 In this unsettled world, it is heartening to know that so many are willing to donate their time and efforts to honor a fallen hero. Sean Corr continued his dedication to help honor fallen soldiers off the track, joining with the Walton (NY) Booster Club to honor Walton’s own Marine SGT Adam Munn on September 15th. Corr and Empire Racing honored SGT. Adam C. Munn, donating a racecar hood emblazoned with a portrait of Adam. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, along with Empire Racing, brought their #82 ARCA show car to the event. Adam’s family brought his ’54 Chevy, his pride and joy, to the event to honor his memory as well.
Munn, a member of the Marine Corps, served 2 tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan and was awarded The Purple Heart. He was an active member of the VFW and an avid supporter of the Marine’s Toys for Tots program. Adam was passionate about helping the youth in his community, and especially the Walton Football program.
Several NASCAR teams, upon hearing of the event, sent up sheet metal for the silent auction. Pieces from Roush-Fenway, Michael Waltrip Racing, Earnhardt-Ganassi, and Empire Racing were donated, including autographed metal from Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, Juan Pablo Montoya, Sean Corr, and Michael Waltrip. Through their generosity and that of the people of Walton, NY and surrounding areas, the booster club was able to raise $10,000 to buy football helmets and gear for the community’s youth.
Scheduled for a special appearance, Sean Corr stayed the entire day, even making his way into the dunking booth, promoting it as “Dunk the NASCAR Driver” to engender more donations. “We had a great turnout today, there were so many people here who knew and loved Adam. I am proud to be a part of honoring his memory” said Sean.
The event was a great success according to Cortnie Russell of Danny’s Restaurant, “We are so pleased, this was so much more than we expected. We hoped to raise $6000 to buy 100 new football helmets. Thank you to Sean and Empire Racing for all that they have done to make this fundraiser a success! Thank you to the NASCAR teams that donated to our event! And thank you to the Walton community, one of the great things about Walton is that we all pull together. It is such a great community and we appreciate everyone who came out to support the event! It was a great day for us, and I am so happy that we are able to do this and honor Adam’s memory”.
Corr’s next scheduled races are the Phoenix 150 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday November 9th, followed by the season finale Ford 200 at Homestead Miami on Friday November 15th.
Marketing partnerships with Sean and Empire Racing are available for the remainder of the 2012 season as well as the 2013 season. Please contact Team Manager, John Bellesfield, at jbellesfield@gmail.com or by phone at 704.914.7110 for more information.

Sean Corr Finishes 25th in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Debut
(MOORESVILLE, NC) August 6, 2012 Every NASCAR debut is special for a driver and their team, but Sean Corr and Empire Racing had many memorable moments to create an unforgettable weekend as they made their first start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Pocono Raceway. Corr, of Goshen, NY, partnered with American Heroes Racing and Leonard Bus Sales to pay tribute to Staff Sgt. Justin Whiting, of Hancock, NY during the Pennsylvania Mountains 125 on August 4th. Nearly 100 of Whiting’s friends and family attended the event. Staff Sgt. Justin R. Whiting was killed in action January 19, 2008 on his third tour of duty in Iraq when his vehicle was struck by an IED while conducting combat operations. . A highly decorated soldier and a Green Beret, he was a Special Forces medical sergeant assigned to Company B, 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group Airborne.
“I want to thank American Heroes Racing and Leonard Bus Sales for making this tribute possible. The outpouring of support that we have gotten from the community and the Raceway has been overwhelming, and it was an honor to meet Justin’s family and friends. It was an honor to meet the men who belonged to Justin’s unit as well. I am glad that they were able to travel from Ft. Campbell to be with us this weekend” said Corr.
American Heroes Racing, Corr and Empire Racing hosted 8 members of Whiting’s unit. Pocono Raceway made the men the Grand Marshalls of the Pocono Mountains 125, included them in prerace driver introductions and had them give the command to start engines. “Pocono Raceway went above and beyond in honoring these brave soldiers and helping us pay tribute to Staff Sgt. Justin Whiting. The hospitality shown to these soldiers, and the friends and family, was amazing, and we want to thank all those at the track who helped make this a special day in memory of one of America’s heroes” said John Birmingham, of American Heroes Racing.
During practice on Friday, the #82 Leonard Bus Sales/ American Heroes Racing/ Roush-Yates Ford suffered engine trouble, causing the Empire Racing crew to spend Friday afternoon installing a new Roush-Yates Engines motor and radiator prior to qualifying. Saturday morning, Corr qualified the #82 Ford in 30th. During the race, Sean was able to work his way up to 20th, but his day ended early when he got caught up in an accident with thirteen laps to go. Sean finished his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in 25th position. “Thank you to Leonard Bus Sales, Roush-Yates, and American Heroes Racing for helping us get here this weekend. The crew at Empire Racing did a great job and worked hard to get the truck ready for today. It wasn’t the finish we were looking for, but it was a good learning experience. I am looking forward to our next start in the truck series” said Corr after the race.
Empire Racing Team Manager, John Bellesfield commented “Sean did a great job in his first truck series start. We are looking forward to our next start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and plan to be announcing the date soon. Thanks to RoushYates Engines for a great motor for the race and to Leonard Bus Sales for their continued support of Sean and Empire Racing. I want to thank everyone at Pocono Raceway for all that they did this weekend in helping us celebrate the life of Staff Sgt. Justin Whiting and the hospitality they showed to his family, friends, and his fellow soldiers”.

Barford Jr Finishes 23rd at Indianapolis
(MOORESVILLE, NC) July 29, 2012 Larry Barford Jr was able to bring home a 23rd finish at the Messina Wildlife Stopper 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway after a shower filled Friday afternoon. Rain interrupted both practice sessions, limiting the ability to make changes to the #04 Dodge Charger to match the changing track conditions.
Larry and the crew at C2M worked to improve the #04 VAMortgage.com/1st Mariner Mortgage/Trauma Doc Dodge Charger from a fast lap of 100.973 mph, gaining over 6 mph to qualify 24th with a speed of 106.320 mph. “The guys here at C2M worked really hard to improve the setup of the car before qualifying, and I worked with my driver coach, Austin Pollack, to search for a better line. The car handled well, and we were able to finish in 23rd, despite a few issues in the pits. I am really looking forward to returning to Pocono next week, it will be the first race where I will have experience at the track. I think that we will improve our finish from June in the VAMortgage.com/1st Mariner Mortgage/Trauma Doc #04 Dodge Charger” said Barford.
Larry’s next race will be the Pennsylvania 125 to take place at Pocono Raceway on August 4th at 3 pm (ET). Larry finished 17th during the June race earlier this season. Watch as Larry looks to improve on his June performance live on SPEED, or keep track online at www.arcaracing.com, where live timing and scoring will be available for practice, qualifying and the race.

Engine Trouble Causes Early Exit for Enfinger
(CONCORD, NC) July 30, 2012 Grant Enfinger came to Lucas Oil Raceway looking to improve on his 9th place finish in the 2011 season. Unfortunately, after a strong run for Enfinger, at one point working his way up to 7th place, engine failure ended his race early in the Messina Wildlife Stopper 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway.
After rain storms interrupted both practice sessions on Friday, Enfinger qualified his No. 99 Preble-Rish, Breland Homes, BB&T Mortgage, Wurth USA car in 12th position with a speed of 109.216 mph. Enfinger and crew chief, Kelly Kovski, worked to continue adjusting the car so that it was more comfortable exiting turns 3 and 4. After the green flag dropped, Enfinger methodically worked his way into the top ten, making his way up to 7th. After a caution for debris on the track on lap 133, Enfinger came in for a pit stop. After returning to the track and taking the green flag, the No. 99 suffered engine failure at lap 141, resulting in a 27th place finish.
“Kelly and the crew put together a great car,” said Enfinger. “I want to thank the folks at Preble-Rish, Breland Homes, BB&T Mortgage and Wurth USA for their support in getting us to Lucas Oil Raceway. We had a great run going, I just had hoped we could put the No. 99 into Victory Lane.”
Enfinger’s next race will be the Pennsylvania 125 at Pocono Raceway on August 4 with the green flag at 3 pm (ET). He will be running in the No. 09, looking to improve upon last year’s finishes of 3rd and 5th. Watch the race live on SPEED, or keep track online at www.arcaracing.com, where live timing and scoring will be available for practice, qualifying and the race.

Barford Jr Brings Home a 21st Place Finish at Chicagoland
(MOORESVILLE, NC) July 23, 2012 The Ansell ActivArmr 150 offered a chance of redemption for Larry Barford Jr. After a frustrating run at Iowa, Barford brought on a driver coach, who worked with Larry and the C2M team to improve his performance over Iowa and bring home a 21st place finish.
As the crew at C2M worked to address handling issues during practice, Larry worked with Driver Coach and Spotter, Austin Pollack, to find a comfortable line and consistently hitting his marks. The group effort paid off, as Larry was able to shave off nearly a second off his best practice run during qualifying, finding an additional 3.7 mph to qualify at a speed of 161.324 mph.
"We really made some great strides this weekend as a team, working to get the car set up closer to what we need and finding speed for qualifying. Working with Austin as a coach was great, he helped me find braking points and search for different lines during the race. He has a lot of knowledge and was a great help. The team and I still have some work to do to get the finishes we know that we are capable of. This car will be going to Pocono, so it should be a better run there because we know what changes we need to make. It should be a better show for the VAMortgage.com/1st Mariner Mortgage/Trauma Doc #04 Dodge Charger” said Barford after the race.
Larry’s next race will be the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200 to take place at Lucas Oil Raceway to be televised on SPEED on Saturday July 27th at 9pm ET. The trip to Indianapolis is a one day event, running with the ARCA CRA Super Series. Watch the excitement live on SPEED, or keep track online at www.arcaracing.com, where live timing and scoring will be available for practice, qualifying and the race.

Barford Jr Battles Handling Issues to Salvage a 23rd Finish at Iowa
(MOORESVILLE, NC) July 17, 2012 The excitement of a new chassis and new paint scheme for the #04 VAMortgage.com Dodge Charger was overshadowed for Larry Barford Jr by the handling issues that plagued the car at Iowa Speedway this past Friday. Larry and the C2M crew worked throughout the day Friday and during pit stops to better the car, salvaging a 23rd finish in the Prairie Meadows 200.
The first and second practice sessions were held under overcast skies and the threat of rain. As the team tweaked the set up of the car for those track conditions for qualifying, the weather broke and the sun shone brightly. This heated the track, loosening the cars for qualifying. Adding to set up challenges was the fact that the race started just as the sun set, leading to an ever changing track as it cooled and the lights came on.
"Its a shame that we had such a hard time dialing in to the handling of the #04 Dodge Charger. I know that everyone at C2M worked really hard on the prep of the car. I was really looking forward to racing at Iowa, it's the kind of track that I really enjoy, the kind where you have to be right up on the wheel and working it the whole time. I want to thank everyone at VAMortgage.com, 1st Mariner Mortgage, Trauma Doc, and Madison Settlement Services for all their help so far this season. I am looking forward to giving them a better performance at Chicagoland this Saturday" said Barford after the race.

A New Car and Return to Oval Track Racing Await Barford Jr in Iowa
(MOORESVILLE, NC) July 11, 2012 Larry Barford Jr will come to the Prairie Meadows 200 with more than just an 11th place standing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Championship Standings. He will bring a new chassis and motor and a new paint scheme to the #04 1st Mariner Mortgage/VAMortgage.com/Trauma Doc/Madison Settlement Services Dodge Charger for his first visit to the Rusty Wallace designed Iowa Speedway.
“I am really excited to be coming to Iowa. I have heard what a great track it is and how much fun it is to race there, and after heading to Mooresville this past week to work on the car, I can’t wait to get it out on the track. New Jersey was a learning experience, but I have to say I really prefer the ovals to a roadcourse. I worked with Nick Tucker and the C2M crew on the car, and it is gonna be fast! I feel like we will have a car that is pretty well dialed in right off the hauler” said Barford Jr.
The Prairie Meadows 200 will take place at Iowa Speedway, a night race to be televised on SPEED at 9 pm ET on Friday July 13th. The 7/8 mile tri-oval track, with banking varying from 4 degrees to 14 degrees, was designed by famed NASCAR driver, Rusty Wallace. Watch the excitement live on SPEED, or keep track online at www.arcaracing.com, where live timing and scoring will be available for practice, qualifying and the race.

Barford Jr Braves the Heat and Moves Up to 11th in Points Standings
(MOORESVILLE, NC) July 3, 2012 Braving the heat wave that swept the Northeast, Larry Barford Jr was able to bring his #04 VAMortgage.com/1st Mariner Mortgage/Madison Settlement Services/Trauma Doc Dodge Charger to a 17th place finish at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The finish brought Barford from 14th to 11th place in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards points standings.
“When we went out for the first practice I was kind of nervous. My only experience on a road course was in karting and in police work, and it is a tough thing to get used to. Once I got the layout of the track it was fine. The way the car was set up made it tough to see. I really had to rely on my spotters, Austin Pollack and Dan Collins, who did an awesome job, I couldn’t have asked for more. I never had to look in my mirror once” explained Barford.
After completing practice and qualifying on Saturday Larry left the track to relocate his RV from a nearby campground which was evacuated due to damage from the destructive storms. He and his family moved to the track which was one of the only locations within 70 miles of the track to have power restored.
Sunday’s race saw Larry start from the 25th position. After the first caution, Larry’s helmet cool box failed and with temperatures inside the car in excess of 150 degrees, the water bottle heated to undrinkable temperatures. Larry was able to adapt and overcome the heat due to his physical conditioning. Working a consistent line, he was able to conserve his brakes and avoid any on track incidents, advancing to 19th by mid race and bringing the #04 Dodge Charger home without any damage in 17th place. “I want to thank 1st Mariner Mortgage, Trauma Doc, VAMortgage.com, and Madison Settlement Services for all the help they have given us this season. Without their help, I wouldn’t be able to make it to the track each week and live my dream. I can’t say enough about C2M and my crew. Although the car I drove was not a road course car, the crew at C2M did an excellent job of getting it as close to a road course car as they could. Thanks to the C2M crew for a great job!” commented Larry after getting out of the car.
Next up will be the Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway, a night race to be televised on SPEED on Friday July 13th. Live timing and scoring will also be available for practice, qualifying and the race at www.arcaracing.com
