This is not the same car that flew at Le Mans. This is the road going version of the 1998-1999 CLK GTR which drove in the BPR/FIA GT Racing Series whereas the the car that flew at Le Mans was the 1999 CLR. Of course after it flew, Mercedes never allowed it to be seen again. Probably too embarrassing. Would've made a cool road-going evolution to this car though.

It was a dam shame the car couldn't stay on the ground. They looked fantastic. But given Mercedes-Benz history at LeMans I could understand there reluctance to race the car again.
