Danny Beauchamp Takes Super Stock Win in Round 5 - Bark River

Escanaba, MI ( July 13, 2010) - The first visit the TORC series has at Bark River can never come soon enough for Danny Beauchamp and his #826 UP Cars Bach Mobilities Hilltop RV BFGoodrich Tire Ford F-150. Bark River International Off-Road Raceway is just a handful of miles from home for the Beauchamp's and is truly the home track for much of his family, friends, and supporters. When racing for a season long championship, every race is important, but when you compete in front of your hometown crowd, somehow there seems to be added pressure to perform.

If there way any pressure, Danny Beauchamp sure didn't show it. When the green flag was dropped to start Round 5 of the 2010 TORC Super Stock Truck Sportsman series, thirteen trucks, headed down the Boss Snow Plow Hill into Turn One. Danny guided his BFGoodrich Ford through the first turn without any major incident, and was leading the pack by the start of lap two. In fact, the UP Cars - Bach Mobilities - Hilltop RV - BFGoodrich Tire - Ford F-150 was never challenged during the eight lap event. This was Danny's second podium finish and the first victory of the year.

"Man I was really nervous at the start, but as soon as the flag dropped it was all business," noted Danny Beauchamp. "We've had some highs and lows already this year, and this was definitely our best run. I am really glad to win in front of all my friends and family that come out to support us."

Overnight the team did the usual overnight prep and Dan's father and crew chief, Terry Beauchamp replaced the spark plugs, drained the engine oil and inspected the differential, just to be on the safe side.

Sunday's Round 6 action saw the black and orange Ford get bounced around right from the start. Once breaking free from the Turn One mayhem, the truck began to run on seven cylinders then later in the race a tire went flat due to all the contact that happened during the race. Eventually Danny crossed the finish line in seventh place.

"Today was a real struggle, our motor had a problem and then we had a tire going down, but somehow we kept going and got the best finish we could consider the circumstances," commented Danny Beauchamp. "We with all the problems, finishes like these can make the difference when it comes to winning a championship. Our team never gives up."

After two rounds of racing, Danny Beauchamp is in fifth place in the 2010 TORC Super Truck Championship.

Next Race: July 23-24 at the Oshkosh Speedzone in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
