4-TIME USAC CHAMPION HAMILTON EYES "JEGS CROWN MIDGET SUPER NATIONALS" AT CMS

Kyle Hamilton will become the 23rd driver in USAC history to claim four driving championships when he puts the lid on this year's Regional Midget title September 26 at Marne, Mich.

Hamilton, of Danville, Ind., won the 2007 USAC Kenyon Midget Car title, then added championships last year in both the Midwest and Indiana Ford Focus Series. His focus now centers on this Saturday's "Alex Pruett Memorial" Midget race at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway, part of the JEGS Crown Midget Super Nationals.

Hamilton will join an illustrious list of four-time USAC Champions which already includes the following: A.J. Foyt (13), Rich Vogler and Sleepy Tripp (9), Mel Kenyon (8), Michael Lang (7), Shorty Templeman and Steve Butler (6), Butch Hartman, J.J. Yeley, Roger McCluskey and Tony Hunt (5) and 11 other four-time champs. Bud Kaeding could also join the exclusive club with this year's Silver Crown title.

Hamilton will have to deal with the USAC Mopar National Midget point leaders, who will be battling for valuable points in Saturday's race. Hamilton competed in the April 4 Midget race at CMS but narrowly missed making the feature event.

Saturday's Columbus events include the battle for the USAC National Ford Focus Pavement Championship and the USAC .25 Midget competition at the oval located behind the third-mile paved oval.
