MIDGET FIREWORKS HEADED FOR TOLEDO, THEN SUN PRAIRIE; CLAUSON TOPS 30-LAP MIDGET FEATURE AT 34 RACEWAY

Bryan Clauson, fresh from Saturday night's 30-lap victory at Burlington, Iowa, leads the 2010 USAC Mopar National Midget Series into a trio of races this week in Ohio and Wisconsin.

Toledo (Ohio) Speedway hosts Friday night's "Hemelgarn Racing Super Fitness Night" program on the pavement, then Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. serves as the venue for Saturday and Sunday night races on the dirt.

Clauson, of Noblesville, Ind., led the final 10 laps to win Saturday night's 30-lap USAC Mopar National Midget race at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa. Driving the Parker Stone Spike/Esslinger Ford, Clauson took the lead when Levi Jones had a tire go flat on lap 21. Jones had led since taking the lead from Danny Stratton on lap two. Zach Daum finished second ahead of Brad Kuhn, Tracy Hines and Henry Clarke. The race was the first for USAC's National Midgets at Burlington in 37 years!

Clauson's point lead over runner-up Tracy Hines is 85 points. Hines is trying to become USAC's seventh "Triple Crown Champion," already owning titles in the Silver Crown and National Sprint Series.

Friday's Toledo program also includes the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series. Bobby Santos III is the defending Midget winner at Toledo, having won there last year.

Clauson won a race at Sun Prairie during "Hall of Fame" weekend last year and his three 2010 victories already include the "Hut Hundred" and "Kevin Doty Classic" events,
