ANDERSON "TRIPLEHEADER" FRIDAY NIGHT

The opening event in DK Promotions' 2009 regional racing series unfolds this Friday night at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway, featuring the USAC Regional Midgets, Midwest Ford Focus Midgets and Kenyon Midgets.

Travis Young, Kyle Hamilton and Caleb Armstrong won last year's three titles, Hamilton also claiming the 2008 Indiana Ford Focus title.

Thirty-lap features are on tap for each series at the quarter-mile paved oval which has a rich USAC racing tradition. A.J. Foyt won the track's first USAC race in 1957. Since then the track has hosted 10 nights of racing which included at least three feature events. The all-time record of six USAC features in one night occurred at Anderson last year, with three features each for the Regional Midgets, Indiana Focus and Kenyon Midgets

Highlighting Friday's events will be the return of former USAC National Ford Focus Champion Robbie Ray of Davenport, Iowa. who won the 2005 title at Anderson.
