LADIES "TEE IT" UP MAY 25 TO BENEFIT USAC BENEVOLENT FUND & HONOR MRS. HULMAN

Ladies involved in the sport of auto racing will convene on Tuesday, May 25, to compete in the 4th Annual Mary Fendrich Hulman "Women's Golf Tournament" at the Eagle Creek Golf Course in Indianapolis, Ind.

The 9-hole tournament honors the generosity of the late patriarch of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and wife of the late Anton Hulman, Jr., who was one of auto racing's most influential men of the century.

Wanda Devin, wife of USAC Vice President and Competition Director Mike Devin and mother of two-time Indianapolis 500 Champion Al Unser, Jr., serves as Chair Person for the tournament and announced the dedication of this year's event to the late Mrs. Hulman. "We are extremely pleased to honor this great lady. Throughout the years, she was known for her inconspicuous acts of generosity and knidness on behalf of so many people in Indianapolis, Terre Haute and the racing community. Her memory will continue to be an inspiration to the racing fraternity throughout time."

Limited to 72 players, the tournament gets under way at 7 a.m., includes lunch and a putting contest and offers contestants the opportunity to win prizes for golfing excellence.

Entry blanks and information regarding the tournament, for which the entry fee is $75 per person, can be obtained by calling (317) 247-5111.

Eagle Creek Golf Course is located at 8802 W. 56th Street, on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
