Mat Neely to Pilot Lucas Oil Maxim on Dirt for Scott Benic

FAIRMOUNT, Indiana (June 30, 2006) - Scott Benic, owner of Benic Enterprises and the Lucas Oil Products/Benic Enterprises/2B Racing sprint car team announced today that Mat Neely will be driving the their dirt sprint car for the remainder of the 2006 United States Auto Club (USAC) National Sprint Car Series schedule.

Neely, of Robinson, Illinois, will be driving the Gaerte-powered, Maxim chassis, as he has done on four occasions so far this year. During those four starts, Neely has finished in the top five every time, finishing no worse than fourth. The Benic/Neely combination also claimed the 2006 USAC Buckeye Nationals point championship. 2B Racing is the defending USAC National Sprint Car Series Car Owner point champion.

"I am so excited to have the chance to run some more races for Scott. He is a great car owner and mechanic, and we have proven that we can run well together," stated an excited Neely from the Benic Enterprises shop in Fairmount, Indiana.

The Neely/2B Racing combination will debut Friday, June 30th at Gas City Speedway, located in Gas City, Indiana. Neely will continue to run the Mat Neely Motorsports/Maverick Energy #6 sprint car at USAC National Sprint Car Series pavement events, while Ron Gregory is scheduled to run for 2B racing at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (formerly known as Indianapolis Raceway Park) on Saturday.
