Neely Looks Forward to Labor Day Weekend

ROBINSON, Illinois (September 1, 2006) -- Mat Neely, of Robinson, Illinois is looking forward to a very busy Labor Day weekend, racing in two different states in two different types of race cars. Neely will be competing in the United States Auto Club (USAC) event at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana on Saturday, September 2 in his 2B Racing/Lucas Oil Products Gaerte-powered Maxim Chassis. On Sunday, September 3, Neely will travel to the DuQuoin State Fair in DuQuoin, Illinois for the Ted Horn 100 USAC Silver Crown event, competing in the RW Motorsports Wesmar-powered machine.

Neely, who is sitting fourth in the USAC National Sprint Car standings, is coming off of a non-USAC sanctioned victory at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania last Saturday. Sunday's scheduled USAC event at Winchester Speedway was cancelled due to inclement weather.

"I'm excited to be racing at Haubstadt and DuQuoin this weekend," said Neely from the Benic Enterprises/2B Racing shop in Fairmount, Indiana. "Now that we have the RW dirt Silver Crown car up here with the Benic guys working on it, I think we will be a team to contend with on Sunday at the fairgrounds," continued Neely.

Neely and the 2B Racing/Lucas Oil Products team has two victories this season, one coming during Indiana Sprint Week and the second at Mercer Raceway Park.
