Neely Looks for Success at Home Track in Haubstadt, Ind. during Indiana Sprint Week

ROBINSON, Ill. (July 20, 2007) -- Mat Neely, of Robinson, Ill., has already visited victory lane at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. once this year and is looking to earn his second victory there during the United States Auto Club (USAC) Indiana Sprint Week (ISW) event on Saturday.

Visiting Bloomington Speedway on Friday in the First Financial Bank of Terre Haute, Street Heat, Lytle Electric, Maverick Energy Don Ott-powered Maxim chassis, Neely knows that he needs to improve on his number of second-place finishes at the quarter-mile facility located in beautiful Bloomington, Ind.

"I've ran second so many times at these two race tracks, that I'm ready to put my car in victory lane during the last two nights of Indiana Sprint Week," said Neely. "I love Haubstadt--not only is it home for me, but it's also a great track to run at."

Currently in the twelfth-place in the USAC National Sprint Car points, Neely is a mere twelve points outside of the top-ten.

"I had to miss the Gas City Sprint Week show because of the Silver Crown commitment at Chicagoland, so for us to still be this close to the top ten is great," finished Neely.

Neely will also be running the USAC Silver Crown event at O'Reilly Raceway Park this Thursday for the traditional Crown event during the week of the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

"I think we are starting to get our Silver Crown cars figured out, and I'm getting more and more comfortable driving on pavement, especially at ORP," mentioned Neely.

With support from the First Financial Bank of Terre Haute, Street Heat, Lytle Electric, Maverick Energy, Ross Body Shop, Rotondo Weirich and R&B Powder Coating, Mat Neely Motorsports travels full-time on the USAC Lucas Oil Products National Sprint Car Tour.
