LEDERACH, Penn. (May 2, 2007) -- Returning to Iowa Speedway for the second time, the United States Auto Club (USAC) Casey's General Stores Triple Crown event this weekend, May 5, 2007 will see not only the #17 RW Motorsports car piloted by Mat Neely that ran the event in 2006, but also the #27 RWMS car driven by Jerry Coons, Jr.

After suffering a gearbox issue at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and making an early exit from the race, Coons is ready to put his C&R Racing/Stanton Mopar machine in victory lane. Victory Lane is not a foreign place to Coons, as he was named the 2006 USAC National Midget Car Champion, driving for Wilke-Pak Motorsports.

"We had some problems at Miami that were out of our hands. Now is the time to get past that, along with our not-so-great finish at Manzy, and start running up front, winning some races," stated Coons from his Tucson, Ariz. Home.

Neely, who won the Silver Crown portion of the Mopar Thunder at the Four Crown Nationals en route to being named USAC Silver Crown Rookie of the Year in 2006. Neely, who is also running the full USAC National Sprint Car schedule, stepped in last year to the driver's seat halfway through the season.

"I have some familiar tracks coming up in the schedule, either from racing on them or testing on them (Iowa and Darlington), and I'm excited to get this C&R Racing/HG and Associates Chevy car moving to the front of the pack. I'm getting more and more comfortable in the cars, and I'm able to give Scott (Benic) the feedback that he needs," said Neely from his Robinson, Ill. Home.
