The Indiana, USAC/UMARA and Auto Trader Utah Developmental Ford Focus Series continues their 2007 slate this week with races at New Castle (Indiana), Morris, Ill. (USAC/UMARA) and Salt Lake City (Utah).

Chett Gehrke of Broken Arrow, Okla. (Indiana), Mario Clouser of Auburn, Ill. (USAC/UMARA) and Tim Savage of Herriman, Utah (Utah Developmental) are the respective series leaders entering this week's races.

Robby Parish of Knightstown, Ind. won last Wednesday's 30-lap Indiana Ford Focus race at Mount Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Ind., losing the lead to Andy Nock on lap 29 and regaining it on the final lap! Trailing Parish' Executive Homes/Robertson Drywall Beast were Nock, Eric Fehrman, Steven Mathews and Tyler Irwin. Gehrke finished 11th.

Bob Brewer of Murray, Utah earned his initial victory in the Utah Developmental Series Saturday, leading the final 18 laps to win the 20-lap race at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City. Brewer and his Turf Equipment & Irrigation/S & H Terminals Stealth passed Mark Miran on lap three and were never again headed as series point leader Savage finished second, followed by Billy Cox, James Powell and Kipp Posey. Miran was sixth.

The USAC/UMARA race slated at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. last Saturday was rained out.

Midwest point leader Gehrke won last Friday's 20-lap race at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., leading the final 11 laps after passing Craig Haack. Ronnie Wuerdeman, who led the first eight laps, trailed Gehrke's Indy Performance Composites/Scooter Ellis Rentals Beast at the finish line, with Haack, Alison MacLeod and Bill Kriegbaum rounding out the "top-five." The Midwest series resumes September 28 at the Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway after rains washed out last Saturday's program at Morris, Ill.

Jeff Abold of Pennellville, N.Y. extended his lead in the Northeast series, which resumes September 1 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H. leading all 25 laps of Saturday's race at Wall Township Speedway in Belmar, N.J. Trailing Abold's Team Abold Racing/A & P Automotive Hawk were Jeremy Tsihlis, Shaun Gosselin, P.J. Stergios and Jake Stergios.

Carolina Richard Petty Driving Experience Ford Focus Series leader Tanner Swanson had to settle for third Saturday behind winner Kyle Bonsignore and Rick Fedrizzi in the 35-lap race at Southern National Raceway Park in Kenly, N.C. Bonsignore, from Bayshore, N.Y., recorded his first series win in his Long Island Fiber Exchange/Blue Point Auto Body Hawk, taking the lead from Michael Sboro on the final lap. Sboro slipped to seventh in the final posting as Mark Burt and Brad Noffsinger took positions four and five at the checkered flag. The Carolina series continues September 8 at Callaway, Va.

California pavement series leader Tim Skoglund of Fresno, Calif. led all but the first lap of Saturday's 30-lap race at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif. to beat Daniel Adler, Nic Faas, Ian Miille and fast qualifier Beau DeBard. Miille led the opening lap before yielding to the winner. The California pavement series continues September 1 at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah.
