Chase Scott of Concord, N.C. continued his drive toward the Carolina/Virginia Focus title with a 30-lap victory at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, N.C. Saturday night. He led the last 26 laps in his J & L Industrial Supply/2 Quick Shocks Beast after passing Aron Oakley. Mike Ward finished second ahead of Sam Beam, Michael Sboro and Ginny Quinones. The Carolina/Virginia series resumes action August 7 at South Boston, Va.
Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. scored his fifth victory of the 2004 Midwest Ford Focus campaign Sunday night, posting his second straight victory at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. He and his Duffy-Warble Beast passed Brandon Hartsell on lap 14 and led the final 12 laps of the 25-lapper to beat Brad Loyet, Rex Norris III, Travis Young and Hartsell. Ryan Litt finished sixth and carries a seven-point lead over Norris into this Friday night's Midwest race at the Lakeville (Ohio) Speedway.
Bradley Galedrige of Los Altos, Calif. is the new point leader in the California North series standings after winning Saturday night's 30-lapper at the Stockton 99 Speedway. He led all but the opening lap in his Wirtgen Group/Galedrige Construction Stealth after passing Audra Sasselli. Chase Barber, Bobby McGowan, Josh Lakatos and Bobby Michnowicz rounded out the "top-five" at the checkered flag. The race offered both North and South series points and despite finishing last in the feature at Stockton, Chris Rahe continues to lead the South standings into this Saturday night's race at the Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
Kyle Robbins of New Castle, Ind. won Wednesday night's 50-lapper at the Blossom Chevrolet Indianapolis Speedrome and ranks fifth in the Speedrome Focus standings going into this Wednesday night's races. He led the final two laps in his Goodwin brothers Auto/Magna Machine Stealth to beat Rex Norris III, Brandon Wagner, Brice Kenyon and Jodi Meyers. Wagner led the first five laps and Norris led laps six through 48.
